Oxford Directory; Gale, John, s.Jonathan, of Isle of Jamaica, Gent. HART HALL, matric 23 Feb 1726-7, aged 18. Father of Henry 1754.
However the Henry is shown as a son of Jonathan, not of John, so suspect it means brother.
