Of Fullerswood in the parish of St Elizabeth, Jamaica. Colonel and Custos of the parish of St.Elizabeth. Member for St.Elizabeth 1708-09 and 1711, Member for Westmoreland 1715-27.
Rev Wm May, Rector of Kingston wrote "The great Colonel Gale, his father was a horse-catcher, for all his prodigious Estate, and he is nevertheless as illiterate as his Father was" !
Jonathan# married Eleanor# on 18 May 1699 in Vere. (Eleanor# was buried on 16 Oct 1725 in St Elizabeth, Jamaica.)
