1861 Census; Living as son (age 6) at 25 High Street, Northwood, Hampshire with father, 4 sisters and cousin (Eliza Emery 14, born Leighton Buzzard, Beds).
1871 Census; Living as son (age 16) at 10 Alma Sq., Wellingborough, Northants with father and sister. Occupation; Upholsterer.
In 1881 there is a William Rands 26, married Police Constable, although says born in Newport, Hants.? Alternatively there is Wm H Rands, 26, born Wellingborough who is at the Royal School of Mines.
