Anthony also says " My father knew Uncle Ernest quite well - he visited him and Aunt Daisy in Grahamstown, probably whilst marketing Aveling & Porter Invicta steam rollers in the late 1920s - Philip has pics of them all 3 together. Perhaps son Theo was disowned? Ernest was at Westminster School and was buried wrapped in the Unon flag. He was one of the founding profs of Rhodes Uni, Grahamstown - where Philip & I, and also CC Bateman were at school at St Andrews College. CCB appeared in very early group photos in the old gymnasum building when I was there in the late 1950s - we never knew he was a cousin."
