Alfred Selby(?) TREE

  General Notes:

Could be called Alfred (marriage record on ancestry). Valentine from Anne G-P. Wendy says definately Alfred from finding wedding record.

Wedding cert; 12 Feb 1882. St Michael's Wood Green. Hypatia Florence Bateman (age 27) spinster/ Alfred Tree (48) widower. His profession: Actor. His father's (Thomas) occ: Dealer in Leather. Witnesses completely unrelated names, not a Bateman in sight. As the Batemans seem to spent a large amount of time being witnesses at weddings looks as though they might have given Hypatia and her groom the cold shoulder or perhaps they didn't know about the wedding ?

The family consists of Alfred and 2 of his children from a previous marriage and the 2 he had with Hypatia!

Alfred married Hypatia Florence BATEMAN, daughter of Dr. Henry Charles# BATEMAN FRCS, LSA and Elizabeth Helen# SENIOR, on 12 Feb 1882 in St Michael's, Wood Green, Edmonton, Essex. (Hypatia Florence BATEMAN was born in 1855 in Islington, London and died Q1 1910 in Runcorn, Cheshire.)
