There is a marriage record for (presumably) him - Q4 1900 Settle. Married either Betsy Metcalfe or Sarah Bartlett, other husband being George AM Taylor .... have found George AM Taylor in '01 census living with wife Betsy in Giggleswick . therefore James married Sarah Bartlett.
1901 Census (age 31) living in Victoria Square, Settle with parents and 2 of their granddaughters. Shows as married, but no wife. NB; His brother William Moorby and his wife are living next door. Wife is staying with brother.
Wonder if Sarah Barlett is related to Louisa Barlett ? - James' brother John's wife?
