The marriage arranged between Mr.Ernest Bateman, younger son of the late Mr & Mrs Horatio Bateman of Hillcroft, Reigate and Miss Nora E.Macnamara of 31 Queen's Gate SW7, younger daughter of Mr & Mrs Patrick Nacnamara of Sanacoole, Co.Clare, Ireland, will take place at 2:15pm at Brompton Oratory on Monday June 17.

From Wendy H;The Times June 18 1929. Marriages. Mr.E.BATEMAN & MISS N.E.MACNAMARA. The marriage took place yesterday, at Brompton Oratory, of Mr.Ernest Bateman, younger son of the late Mr & Mrs Horatio Bateman of Hill Croft, Reigate and Miss Nora Elizabeth Macnamara, younger daughter of Mr & Mrs Patrick Patrick Macnamara, of Shanacoole, Co.Clare, Ireland. The Rev.Vincent Baker officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr.M.V.Watts, wore a medieval gown of parchment satin over pink, with a pearl girale and finished with pearl-beads. Her tulle veil was held in place by a head dress of pearls and crystals and she carried a bouquet of pink roses. Miss Winifred Griffin was the only child attendant. A reception was afterwards held at the Rembrandt Hotel, the bride and bridegroom leaving later for a honeymoon on the continent.


Ernest married Nora MACNAMARA on 17 Jun 1929 in Brompton Oratory.
